Swim Meet Book

The coaches maintain a 3-ring binder (you should be able to find it on the round coaches’ table as you enter the pool area). This "Swim Meet Book" is used to assign events.  There is a tabbed section for each meet in the Swim Meet Book.  Find your child’s name and indicate whether they will be swimming or not as well as any stroke preferences/aversions.  You need to mark this book for every meet. This needs to be completed by 6:00pm on the Wednesday prior to each meet.  The coaches will be reminding the swimmers about this at practice.

It is extremely important that you enter information in the Swim Meet Book each week to inform the coach whether your child is swimming or not.  It is recommended that if you know you will be out of town, designate this in the Swim Meet Book as soon as possible.   For Divisionals, we will need the book signed by June 25th.  Divisional entries need to be completed extremely early to allow DASA sufficient time to coordinate the meet (assign heats, lanes, and print heat sheets).

If a swimmer's entry is not completed for a meet, then the coaches will assign the swimmer to individual events but no relay events.

The coaches will create the meet entries for all swimmers and provide that information to the Swim Team Committee on Wednesday night. The Committee will publish the meet entries to TCSWIM.COM and prepare the the associated time cards, etc. for the meet.

A Meet Entry Report will be posted on the Meets page each Thursday night before the meet.  Any changes to the meet entries should be done on Friday. Time cards and meet reports will be generated and provided to the coaches on Monday morning.

This Meet Entry Report will show the events your child is scheduled to swim.  Please remember the event numbers they are swimming.  In the past, we have written the numbers with Sharpies on the backs of children’s hands.  Please do this at home on Monday or we can assist you either during practice on Monday or when you arrive at the meet.  This quickly tells coaches, ready bench and team moms if the child is scheduled to swim an event.
